Paranormal Telly: Teen Wolf (2011)

Show: Teen Wolf
Seasons: 3
Run Time:  40mins
Air Dates & Time: Mondays @ 10pm (est)
Reruns can be seen: Netflix,  MTV

Synopsis:
Teen
Wolf is an American television series developed by Jeff Davis for MTV. It is based on the 1985 film of the same name. The show's central character is Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), a high school student and social outcast who is bitten by a werewolf while looking for a dead girl in the woods. Scott attempts to maintain a normal life, keeping the fact of his being a werewolf secret from everyone, with the exception of his best friend "Stiles" Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien), who helps him through the changes in his life and body, and another mysterious werewolf, Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin).

So I totally didn't know anything about this show at first. I believe one of my sisters may have mentioned it, but I figured it's MTV what the heck would they know right???!?! Somebody back me up on this right?? No no..ok then, I was bored last week and turned on Netflix and saw this so I decided to try it out. I was hooked, from the first; especially because the first few episodes the wolves actually looked like wolves especially the Alpha (who was female, how kick ass was that??).

The comedic timing in this show is awesome, the love story along with the need to protect the towns people, the mystery of who some of these people are, why they don't change, who is the Vet. I mean really who is he. & I totally got a kick out of seeing a Pretty Little Liars star on the show & I can't wait to see more from her character.  The story lines keep you guessing on some of the issues and others are obvious, but I truly love when the story all comes together and little secrets get let out of the bag.

It's a pretty decent take on the movie, allowing us to see how the modern version of this would be, especially in a world with cameras on every cellphone and everywhere has them.  I was totally intrigued by Derek, and loved Stiles from the get go, I knew why Scott McCall was such a pain in the ass long before Derek figured it out.  I love the hunter family and their issues and the what ifs of it all. I was really into the fact that the women were the leaders of the group and the men the soldiers

Although I love the story lines and the relationship between Scott & Alison is intriguing. I do have a few problems with the story.
  • One of them being ermm don't wolves have tails. Yeah why don't they have any, even in the 1980s movie they gave him a tail.
  • also in the beginning the Alpha and those who were born wolves actually changed into wolves, now the Alpha looks like Scott when he changes,
  • And this running on their hands shyt how about you just CGI the heck out of that and make them actual wolves???
There are also a few continuity issues that I noticed, but then I'm a bored former film student, those who can't will criticize brutally. I do love the show though and can't wait to see what is in store for the new pack and the battle between the alphas.

Here's a quick sneak peak of all the awesomeness that is there:

Have fun my loves & make sure to check out the season three premiere on June 3rd.
See you then

Paranormal Telly: Vikings

Show: Vikings
Seasons: 1
Run Time: 45 mins
Air Dates & Time: Sundays @ 10pm EST
Reruns can be seen: HuluHistory Channel

Synopsis:

The HISTORY® original series Vikings transports us to the brutal and mysterious world of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel), a Viking warrior and farmer who yearns to explore—and raid—the distant shores across the ocean. His ambition puts him at odds with local chieftain Earl Haraldson (Gabriel Byrne), who insists on sending his raiders to the impoverished east rather than the uncharted west. When Ragnar teams up with his boat builder friend Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) to craft a new generation of intrepid ships capable of conquering the rough northern seas, the stage is set for conflict. But for all its warfare and bloodshed, Vikings is also a story of family and brotherhood, capturing the love and affection between Ragnar and his wife, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), a respected warrior in her own right. It is the tale of Ragnar’s brother Rollo (Clive Standen), a fierce fighter who simmers with jealously; of Earl Haraldson’s wife Siggy (Jessalyn Gilsig), a dutiful beauty who may be less than loyal; and of the monk Athelstan (George Blagden), whose Christian morals clash with the Vikings’ pagan society. As ambition and innovation rattle a civilization, these characters will be put to the test—and their way of life will never be the same again. Vikings was created and written by Michael Hirst (Elizabeth, The Tudors).

The show is based on the Sagas of Ragnar Lodbrok, a legend in the Old Norse. It is an amazing show. I'm not a Norse follower, I do know enough to know they have done an excellent job capturing as much as possible, sharing great historical details about the housing, the methods of war, even the system of hierarchy within the Norse communities.

Each week we are introduced to something new going on within the community under the Jarl's protection and we see the very beginning of the tradition of Norse raids in Britain   I LOVE this show, from the wild Floki to the hot Rollo, we are immersed in a world of politics, violence and just straight craziness.

I really love that they're showing the Shield Maidens and that they Norsemen allowed women to go to war with them. I like Lagertha, Ragnar's wife, she's pretty freaking kick a**. I highly recommend this show, especially because they show how integral the Gods are to the Norse way of life.

Nerdy moment:  I just however wish they would point out that being called a viking is actually incorrect, "a viking" is the name given to raiding/ or going on an expedition, the Norsemen were actually going 'a viking' when they travelled to England, they actually aren't "vikings" but the term had become synonymous with them and has stuck.

It's still a good show however. I highly suggest you tune in.
Happy Viewing

Paranormal Telly: Lost In Austen

Show: Lost In Austen
Seasons: 1, only 4 episodes
Run Time: 47 min
Air Dates & Time: Sundays
Reruns can be seen: Hulu.com

Synopsis:
Written as a fantasy version of Pride and Prejudice, the show follows Amanda Price, an avid lover of Jane Austen's work. Who incidentally discovers that the clodet in her bathroom leads into the halls of the Bennett home, and switches places with Elixabeth.

I just fell in love with this story, I was saddened when I learned it only had four epiodes, but then British tv seems to accomplish a whole lot in very little time, so I endeavered to watch and be amazed. I love it. I have loved  the actress since HEX, she was awesome there, but this show was actually really good too, bringing back my love for all things Jane Austen, and man the modern twist was hilarious.

There is just something so amazing about the show, and the concepr of falling into your favorite book, hmmm well maybe not in my case I tend to love some really gruesome stuff I'm not sure I want to switch places with Damali or Anita (from Vampire Huntress novels & Anita Blake series), even if it meant meeting Carlos or Jean Claude. Nope I'm good.

While I wait for Downton Abbey's return I have watched this show liek three times already, it's definitely joining my collection of DVDs as soon as I can find it.

I hope you enjoy and watch and laugh and fall in love once again with Mr. Darcy.
Happy Watching

Paranormal Telly: CW's Beauty & the Beast

Show: Beauty & the Beast
Seasons: 1
Run Time: 40
Air Dates & Time: Thurs @ 9pm
Reruns can be seen: Hulu.com/CW.com

Synopsis:

Catherine “Cat” Chandler (Kristin Kreuk, "Smallville,” “Chuck”) is a smart, no-nonsense homicide detective, who is haunted by her own tragic past. When she was a teenager, Cat witnessed the murder of her mother at the hands of two gunmen. Cat would have been killed too, but someone – or something – saved her. No one has ever believed her, but she knows it wasn’t an animal that attacked the assassins…though it was strange and terrifying, it was human. Years have passed, and although she thinks about her mother every day, Cat is now strong and confident, a capable police detective working with her equally talented partner, Tess Vargas (Nina Lisandrello, “Nurse Jackie”). The two women make a good team, and have become close friends while working on countless homicide cases under the supervision of their tough-but-fair boss, Joe Bishop (Brian White, “The Shield,” “The Cabin in the Woods”). Cat has also become close to another co-worker, the medical examiner Evan Marks (Max Brown, “The Tudors,” “MI-5”), and they’ve developed a fun, flirtatious relationship that could easily turn into something deeper – if Cat would let that happen. However, much to the concern of her younger sister, Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson, "Make It or Break It"), Cat’s romantic inclinations tend toward bad boys. While investigating a new case Cat and Tess discover fingerprints that lead to a handsome doctor named Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan, “Terra Nova”), who was reportedly killed by enemy fire while serving in Afghanistan in 2002. Digging deeper, Cat learns that Vincent is actually still alive. For mysterious reasons that have forced him to live outside of traditional society, Vincent has been in hiding for the past 10 years. With the help of his childhood friend J.T. Forbes (Austin Basis, “Life Unexpected”), Vincent has been able to guard his terrible secret – when he is enraged, he becomes a terrifying beast, unable to control his super-strength and heightened senses. Cat is stunned when Vincent admits he was the “animal” who saved her the night of her mother’s murder. Vincent doesn’t admit the whole truth – he is emotionally tied to Cat and has been watching over her for years.
Soooo Can I tell you how much I loved this show?? I don't know if y'all remember the original Beauty and the Beast, but i was a huge fan as a kid, i begged to stay up and watch it and my mom generally wouldn't let me unless it was a special holiday or something, but I loved watching it. When I heard they had another version coming out?? I was all for it. OMgosh this show is something awesome. I'm in love with Vincent, anyone else?? He is so sexy and that voice?? Sweet Goddess, home girl is a fool, I would do a whole lot for a man with a voice like that. Wait..You haven't seen Vincent or heard his voice?? Yeah let's fix that right now:
Okay so he has a few anger issues, but wouldn't you?? I both love and want to beat up the female lead, I get being stubborn when you think your right, but ummmm how many times and how many ways must you be told to leave something alone before oyu get that it's not a game?? Yeah the sexy Bristish guy, her funny as heck friend/partner & their boss?? Yeah i'm tuning in just to see each week just how far up the river she will for Vinvent.

Good storylines, great music and kick ass scenes action that is fast paced and a love interest that's actually hot?? I love strong female leads and I'm hoping this one will last, it comes back in January so make sure to catch up quick!!

happy viewig my loves...tale as old as time..

Paranormal Telly: Arrow

Show: Arrow
Seasons:1
Run Time: 40 mins
Air Dates & Time: Wed @ 8pm
Reruns can be seen: Hulu.com/ CW.com

Synopsis:
After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he's become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was.
I'll be straight with you, when I saw the preview for this show I was like "this is going to be dumb", then I watched it and I was like "this show is slightly dumb, but I'm going to watch anyway" The premise is great, the action on point, the actors gorgeous and some of them even very familiar to me. CW seems to recycle their actors instead of getting rid of them completely, but hey that works, Oliver however is new to me & I LIKE him. He's hot I mean just check out the picture, his acting is pretty good too. I love how complicated the story is, and that here are no easy solutions to the problems, I love his 'sidekick' who made Oliver's days amazingly hard, he is great. The sister, the love interest, the best friend, his mom they are all people Oliver is working hard to impress, and get their forgiveness. AHHHH I'm so super excited to see Harry Dresden in this (yes, I know he isn't playing Harry Dresden, but hey I take em where I can get em)

The only thing I don't like is when as Arrow or the Green Hood guy when he apprehends a criminal the little speech he gives them, you know what??? As a bad guy I'm not waiting around for your speech to finish, I'm kicking butt and firing off as many bullets as I need to get out of there. The season so far has been pretty interesting, and has had quite a few moments where I was like OMG. I'm sure when it comes back in January it will continue to be as awesome as it has been.  While it isn't necessarily paranormal they do have technologies that this 'reality' doesn't have, as well as the  Starling City isn't named after a city on any American map although it clearly is Gotham City otherwise known as NYC.

If Oliver doesn't make you want to get up and get tot he gym I don't know what will, hot damn that man is fine. It appears to be a show that's going places, and I actually look forward to the episodes each week, Yes I'm sure I could sit here and tear it apart for some of the science, but since they don't try to make it happen in this world?? Yeah I'm going to give it to them, sorta like I don't look too closely at the science of Clark Kent/Superman.

Paranormal Telly: Misfits

Show: Misfits (UK edition)
Seasons: 4
Run Time: 47 mins
Air Dates & Time: Sundays @ 10
Reruns can be seen: Hulu.com

Synopsis:
Misfits is a British science fiction comedy-drama television show about a group of young offenders sentenced to work in a community service programme, where they obtain supernatural powers after a strange electrical storm.

My sister got me addicted to this show. OMG it's amazing!! It follows a crew of kids who are attempting to do their community service the day a weird storm hits their estate (town) and the resulting havoc is just too good. I love everything about this show, it has some amazing quotes, funny situations, events that make you think and good Gawd they are way way more graphic than american tv. Way way more graphic, so if you don't like cussing or death this isn't the show for you. you still here?? Well Let me give you a glimpse of the awesomeness that is Misfits:

After the storm each kid wakes up with a superpower, they don't all know how it works or who else had one or what they can do with it, but man oh man they are game to find out.

The love story that develops in the story is both surprising and erotic, and hilarious when taken from the beginning.

I just love Simon, he is awkward and socially inept but deep and funny and the man you need when the shyt hits the fan.  Nathan, is just amazingly crazy and fun, and provides the necessary levity when things are starting to look really bad for them. Kelly is woman when you need some serious butt kicked, she hands out a$$ whooping like nobodies business and man she is just so funny.  Alisha is just. WOW, that girl can tell a story. I just WOW, you have to watch to see what I mean. And of course the show wouldn't be awesome without Curtis, the former track star who just wants his world to go back to normal.
Without fail they always find themselves in some sort of situation and have to dig themselves out. Each week's episode is a different adventure that moves the story while still sharing something new about each character's personality and their resulting power.  I love this show, and like my sisters now have it on repeat, the third and four seasons where okay, they were good, but when you fall in love with the first original characters and go through so much with them even the slightest change just seems wrong. I won't tell you more I don't want to ruin it for you, but rest assured, you will be glued to your seat.

Happy Viewing

Paranormal Telly: Revolution

Show: Revolution
Seasons: 1
Run Time: 40 mins
Air Dates & Time: NBC
Reruns can be seen; Hulu Plus, NBC

Trailer:

My Review:
Okay this show isn't really paranormal, but it is a dystiopian new world. The premise sounded great and when I saw you could watch the premiere before the show aired on HULU. I was all for it.
About half way into the first five minutes I was arguing with my computer. Yelling at the screen, this show hmmm how to say this politely .."yeah this show is stupid".. I know. I know, so many shows that I watch have idiotic premises or things going on, but generally it's tongue in cheek stupid, letting you know, they know that this isn't the way it works. Syfy's Eureka was all about that and I loved that show. I'm not sure what the producers were thinking for this one,  but I have questions:
  1. what happened to all the lights, I mean ALL the lights??? We aren't all connected to the grid so how did the ALL the power in the WHOLE world just get cut off???
  2. Ummm... you do know that with nuclear power, without there being lights and power to keep the nuclear reactors cool, they have what's called the Chernobyl accident?? No, no?!?! this doesn't exist in your world..Oh okay thanks.  Your telling me EVERY single nuclear reactor went offline and didn't take out the world with it??? In 15 years no one has seen a melt down. With the amount of reactors France alone has; that meltdown should have cleaned half of Europe off the map. No?!! Why??
  3. Ummm how about the car and highway scene, how did every single car on that highway shut down?? What your telling me is that on that American highway, there wasn't one person driving an American old school mustang??? Not a one??? There wasn't someone who was restoring an old car with a rebuilt turbo charged engine?? No one in an Impala, or a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T with a Hemi engine??(can you tell that is my favorite car??) No not even one?? Yeah I don't buy it, I see these cars all the time in my neck of the woods, and your telling me on a highway near a military base not one of them is a classic car junkie???
  4. How comes everything shut off?? Planes don't run on electric cords plugged into a socket, do I don't buy that they all of a sudden fell out of the sky. My laptop and phone are charged to full all the time, how comes they all of a sudden don't have a have a charge anymore?? My phone has a solar panel charger, I get that the power grid is down so things like the internet won't be working, but my own individual phone??
  5. What happened to the wind turbines?? The Solar Panels?? Did Sun Valley just disappear off the map? How about the Coal firing plants?? They all lose power too?? WHY??
  6. Was there a cataclysmic event that sucked all the electricity out of the world??? You do know that means we should all be dead right?? Because human beings are electric/kinetic energy, it's the impulse that makes your heart beat and your brain keep firing. So I'm not sure how the heck you plan to explain or even why this went down, but ummm NO
  7. Where is the military?? Your telling me the government that has backups of the backups of the backups, don't have a backup generator?? Isn't the White House on it's own power grid for just this reason??
  8. Did no one study science before this happened?? No one knows how to create gaslights??
After I sat and watched, and restarted it and watched again, just to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I kept waiting for that girl to start saying "ohana means family" because she is just that clueless. There is a scene in the show where she meets a hot young man and then without knowing him from Adam's house cat invites him along on her journey. In a world where people have descended back into the dark ages apparently and marauders and prisoners roam free. WHO DOES THAT.

I don't know about the rest of y'all but the science questions alone have turned me off from this show, then of course there is the societal construct ideas of what would happen if the modern world collapsed. It only took 15 years according to this show for the feudal system to come back and for everyone to start learning to farm from hollowed out cars.  Where did they get sheep in a small town outside of Chicago??   Okay I'll stop asking questions now; but I will say this. I'm a Discovery channel fanatic, I read and research and study up on things like this especially after Hurricane Katrina showed us how quickly the societal rules and constraints would be cast aside.  Discovery has had several shows first with "The World without Us' then a show dealing with what would happen to the modern world if a true epidemic broke out. they showed how long ti would take for the rules to get thrown out the window  which sadly wasn't that long; and how it affected everything from the bottom up to the top. These producers should have watched these shows, because according to the scientist they're a little off.

I told a friend on facebook that the show is an okay show if you didn't think too hard about all the open questions and he said "if I have to shut down my brain to watch it I'm not watching" (he's a science teacher). If you want to watch without thinking too hard the show is okay, nothing new and out of the box, but entertaining none the less.  I might watch the second episode to see if they got better it all depends, I have my shows all lined up already, if this doesn't interfere than yeah I might watch it.

Watch and let me know what you thought of the premiere in the comments please. Any shows your looking forward to?? I can't wait until Haven comes back on Sept 21. Woohoo.
Many Blessings...

Paranormal Telly: WitchBlade

Show: WitchBlade
Seasons: 2: 23 episodes
Run Time: 40 mins
Air Dates & Time: Cancelled
Reruns can be seen:  Youtube

Now this a show that had a lot of potential. Much like the Alex Archer series, except the lead is a cop not a archaeologist; she does however find the Witch Blade which in this story arc once belonged to Joan of Arc and many other powerful women in history.
The WitchBlade goes to a deserving user, which it will protect and give all manner of awesome powers to. It's funny to watch the show and realize how far technology has come since 2000-2001 which is when the show was filmed. A note to producers, native New Yorkers can tell when your not filming in NY so don't try to BS us that the character is a cop in NY. Okay??!?! Okay moving on, I personally enjoyed the show and was trying to understand the female lead and what made her the chosen for he blade, the many different people who interacted with her and wished to get their hands on the blade made the show interesting,. Even more interesting was her back story that was beginning to be revealed when the show was cancelled.
Hopefully someday soon they will take a stab at this again, my understanding was the lead was a bit of an alcoholic and was unreliable in her work ethics, which didn't help keep the show up and running smoothly. However you really couldn't tell on the show, it was pretty good!!

It's a check out if you don't have anything else lined up since it's been cancelled. I'm sure you can find it a more legitimate way, but I couldn't.

Happy Viewing

Paranormal Telly: Angel

Show: AngelSeasons: 5
Run Time: 40 mins
Air Dates & Time: Cancelled
Reruns can be seen: Netflix, Hulu Plus
Ohh man, I did a review about Buffy here. I loved this show, I watched Buffy and then went back and forth with Buffy and Angel once he got his spin-off. I'm so upset with my younger self for not watching these shows when they were on, but then again I got to watch all of them at once without the wait in between.
The story arc is of course totally awesome. Angel is a bad ass Vampire who after eating & torturing a young gypsy woman is cursed by her family with his soul. This return of his conscience results in him becoming a tortured soul and he tries to live his life without creating more havoc. He meets Buffy and becomes her first love, and from there the action really starts, the curse states that should he have one moment of bliss that the curse will be lifted and his soul cast out.

I loved watching the struggle between the Vampire Slayer who was born with the duty of slaying all those that prey on humanity and her new found friend and eventual love who just happens to be a Vampire.

The storyline flowed extremely well, they tried pretty hard to answer many of the questions that fans had about Angel and Buffy, and even about Angel's past. The witty banter between all the characters, the scenes that made you talk about the episode even after you watched it. I enjoyed seeing Spike coming onto the show, he certainly added some very needed wit and banter to Angel's seriousness.

I loved the show, the dilemma that Angel faced each episode, even when he was in the wrong, I particularly loved watching a vain character from Buffy become someone we could admire.  Cordelia always has something hilarious to say that makes you laugh and think 'man she's so right', especially in the first episode when she calls him out on the fact that he an old vampire but he is broke, because he didn't save any money. I laughed so hard at that.

If you can please do check it out on the channels listed above or even at your local library.
Happy Watching & Be Blessed

Paranormal Telly: Supernatural

Show: Supernatural
Seasons: 7
Run Time: 40 mins
Air Dates & Time: CW Fridays 9/8 est
Reruns can be seen:  CW, Netflix

I have found a new obsession, yes, ladies and gents I am in love with this show. It's not new, but it's new to me. It's based on brothers Dean & Sam Winchester, who are hunters. They have been raised by their family to hunt the monsters of the world, including those hiding under your bed. Ha made you look. No but they are real, and these boys hunt them as a job.

As a job it sucks, they don't get paid, they lie constantly to be able to help people and sometimes the things they face kick their collective asses royally.   As the seasons progress the story becomes layered, they aren't just hunters, their family stretches back for many generations as hunters & as something else also I'll let you watch and figure it out for yourself).

The witty remarks, the thrown in nerdy jokes & comments, the clear mistakes that they leave in kind of reminds me of Buffy & Angel, which is great because they are produced by the same channel.  I love watching the show and cracking up because it's clear they aren't really driving the impala, (they drive the same highway all the time too). These little quirks make the show even more awesome, especially when I get the nerdy little comments, or the show or movie references that they will throw in.

Soon enough we get introduced not just to monsters, demons, and God/Goddesses but to Angels as well, and they aren't your everyday kind of angels either.  I love the shows lore, and their obvious deep research on many subjects.  the characters are well written, have many different flaws, the story arc is amazing and well written. they don't just drop a story and leave it there, they almost always bring it back in some way shape or form in the next few episodes.  I love the nerdy jokes, the mythological lore they get right, the mention and presence of Gods including Loki which is one of the few they aren't able to kill. He always wins whenever he comes up against the Winchesters.

Now that you know the pros of the story here are a few things I personally don't like:
  • Every time the story introduces a black character, he or she goes full on psycho making it necessary for Dean and Sam to hunt and kill them. Only three black characters weren't evil, three out of the five or six they have shown; with only two of them having repeat appearances.  Really??/ There aren't any good black hunters?? Your doing hoodoo magick and looking into a lot of African lore and you only have two black good guys??? Not cool guys not cool at all.
  • The strong armed Judeo-christian message in the story, almost all the Pagan Gods are being hunted down for being 'monsters'. At a convention of the Gods which included Kali, Ganesh, Odin, Mercury, and a few others, Kali pointed out that the Judeo-Christians were hell bent of ending the world and ignoring the fact that other traditions and Gods existed and that their stories end a whole lot differently. (which is an excellent point)
  • the insistence that witches have sold their souls to devil, or to a demon. come on people have we not moved past this?? Witches are not the same as satanist. and I wish like heck they would stop equating us as the same.
I'm sure as I watch the other seasons the show will have other things that I don't like but so far these are my big three that annoy me.  Other than this the show is pretty good at showcasing this world hidden within out world.

Enjoy the show and let me know what you think in the comments section..
Happy and Blessed Watching

Paranormal Telly: Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Seasons: 7
Run Time: 40 mins
Air Dates & Time: Show cancelled
Reruns can be seen; Hulu Plus, Netflix
This has got to be one of the best 'supernatural' shows out there. It was on when i was growing up but for some stupid reason I didn't want to watch it. Oh Yeah i didn't want to 'follow the crowd', this was perhaps a stupid mistake.
I gotta say this show was amazing, the witty banter between the characters, the story arcs, the way the story flowed, the writers did an amazing job on this show, and I'm sure many of you are already Buffy lovers because of it.  I loved the fact that the characters would change and grow, all while hanging on to a sense of humour even in the worst situations. many even though he was a little twisted I Loved Spike more than Angel, yeah yeah yeah I know but I just love the blonde. he was totally awesome, crazy but awesome.  They have some pretty memorable lines and scenes through out the shows, I particularly enjoyed how they would let the 'outside' world in and make obvious comments about happenings throughout the real world, or even mention movies, the characters have been in.

I watched all the seasons over the course of a month, with my sisters and we all loved it, discussed and argued over the characters and the show, it was totally awesome.

It carried some heavy Christian overtones, got some stuff wrong about witchcraft had Willow go crazy for a little while but even then they relied some truth. And it was of course one of the first shows that showed a Lesbian couple kissing on prime time tv.

Check the series out at your local library if they have it, if not then you must check it out on Hulu Plus, and on Netflix.
It's a MUST see!!!

Be Blessed and Happy Watching

Paranormal Telly: Warehouse 13

Welcome Back to Paranormal Telly series, where I share my favorite shows that have a paranormal slant.  This weeks offering comes again from Syfy and it's called Warehouse 13.
I LOVE this show, yes I know I showcase all my favorite shows, why would I waste your time & mine talking about something I really don't love.  Are you a fan of good cop pairings then your going to love this. enter into this genre Wiki synopsis
The series follows United States Secret Service Agents Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) and Peter Lattimer (Eddie McClintock) when they are assigned to the government's secret Warehouse 13 for supernatural "artifacts". It is located in a barren landscape in South Dakota, and they initially regard the assignment as punishment. As they go about their assignments to retrieve missing Warehouse 13 artifacts and investigate reports of new ones, they come to understand the importance of what they are doing. They are enthusiastically joined by young, hip, brilliant techno-wiz Claudia Donovan" Warehouse 13
Peter is awesome, the consomitate class clown with a hard cop edge who runs on instinct and then there is his partner Myka who needs all the facts before she does anything.  They fuss, they fight, they work extremely well together.
Their job is to hunt down all the weird and unexplainable objects that are affecting the world they interact with. Some of my favorite characters from other shows also including many from the town of  Eureka and Harry from Dresden Files (although he wasn't Harry on the show) have made appearances on the show.  I laugh at so many of the nerdy jokes on there, so many historical stories re-written for these episodes, I love each episode especially the ones that have a great deal of the 'steampunk' going on. Yeah it's a great show for the nerd in all of us.

The show can be found on Netflix, and Hulu.  The show is on hiatus right now, but it comes back again this Spring. I can't wait until it does.

Happy Watching.

Paranormal Telly: Lost Girl

OhhhhhhhhhhhMyyyyyFriggin Goddess I didn't know this show existed. How did I live without this show in my life??
I'm in love with this show. Sweet blessed Goddess, they even have the Morrigan. I'm talking about Lost Girl on Syfy, it began on a Canadian site called ShowCase (i'm so mad at all my Canadian friends right now for not telling me about this show, you guys suck).

I haven't even finished watching the first episode and I can't wait for the next one, and it better be AWESOME. Thankfully like all the other shows I have ever talked about they have used 'new' actors, who don't have too big a name and are extremely convincing in their characters. I mean extremely, i could totally picture anyone one of them as Fae. The graphics aren't too shabby either, actually really enjoy them!!

Ok so let's get the show's synopisis from their own words:
There is something for everyone, the eye candy for men and women is very delightful, the mythological lore so far has been on point, the battle for your hands of power or the right ot choose your 'house" is also on point. To tell the truth some of it kinda reminds me of Merry Gentry series by Laurell K Hamilton, just without the Princess part, although the story arc could lead there you never know and she doesn't know she's Fae, she also has a human sidekick,
Kenzie, Bo's human
If this show ever gets cancelled *crosses fingers that doesn't happen anytime soon* I'm sure Mrs Hamilton will have a host of people to pick from who could capture her characters.
Bo manages to create for herself a buffer zone and has some pretty powerful friends backing her, she still thinks too much like a human though & in the Fae world that will eventually come back and 1)haunt her because someone close will pay for her ignorance or 2) she'll end up dying.
Can I say I'm in love with a siren? I wish they would cover his story a little more,
I'm not too fond of the emphasis of Dark Fae/Light Fae as if the names actually show the inherit character of the Sidhe or even their magic abilities. Seelie/Unseelie either way the Fae aren't exactly friendly to humans and the ones that are, really aren't on the top of the totem pole, you can't get something for nothing & I hope like heck Bo learns that soon. She has people paying prices to keep her safe & she doesn't even seem to understand that or recognize the sacrifice, eventually she will have to learn & when she does?? That episode is going to be EPIC.
I love the sensuality of the show & how Bo gets her feed on, she's a very lucky succubus.
ok now back to the show!!! It shows on Mondays at 10pm on Syfy.

Paranormal Telly: Dresden Files

Hey there readers:

As you can tell I have been recentely watching a lot of Netflix, I have shared my love of Blood Ties with Vicki Nelson, well there is now Harry Dreseden from the Dreseden Files. I have always been recommended the books but as always I'm stubborn and never looked into them, so when I saw on Netflix they have the show I though Huh why not??

I wasn't disappointed, this show is actually really good. I have never seen the actor who places Dresden and I was not disappointed, the story lines were great, moving fluidly without dragging and left the audience wondering what was coming up next.

I really love the show because there is so many little witchy moments, especially when he casts his circles; the vision of his wards, it's all so awesome. It's one of the few shows I have seen where there is a little bit of truth to some of his workings.  The run on joke on the show is that he is a little too old to be "Harry" as in "Harry Potter". Harry's best friend lives in his own skull, I mean literally Bob was a wizard who did something really wrong for love and was trapped in his skull as punishment.
I love to watch shows and think five steps ahead and usually will guess the endings of the show, but with this show I sometimes found myself guessing wrong and wondering" WOW. why didn't I see that coming". The sad part? It only had one season. You can sill enjoy it thoughl make sure to check it out on Hulu as well as on Netflix. Best part? It's free!!

Have fun
Be Blessed
