Book Review: Calista's Men

My take on the book:
Sign me up for two of these please. Dante & Benito Hello!?! hot damn Ms. Strong can write. The story is about twin brothers who have a need to share the women that they make love to. In walks Calista a school teacher who screams 'let's settle down and have children' Dante wants to run the other way Benito? He's all set to pop the question & settle down. Calista is also attempting to shake her good girl image by working as a private investigator for Bulldog who owns Crime Tells (which is the name of the series just so you know).  Her case intersects with Dante's case; which really pulls out his dominate side and he helps her with her case as a way to get to know her better.

This is a steamy, raunchy, sexy, hot book, the action flows, the characters are well fleshed out and have complicated thoughts and feelings which make them feel real. The sex is out of this world amazing as a trio & alone. The men insisted on getting to know her as part of their own relationships as well as a trio, which I really loved. There are some BDSM themes throughout the novel & Dante is extremely secy and dominating without being domineering.  I love this story & continuously find myself re-reading it, because I love the love story forming between the three & the struggle that Dante & Benito find themselves in. One not wanting to fall in love and trust anyone else but his twin, & the other struggling not to have to walk away from his twin because he can't walk away from the woman.

This is a definite go to Ellorascave and purchase title. I love the heck out of Jory Strong, as far as I have read none of her books have ever disappointed, so get this one as well!!!.

Yes, the title does say it all.

I got this book, years ago, and saved it for when I had a partner I could trust. I have since purchased the book again, because it's that good and that fun. It's split into his challenges,and her challenges each appears to be envelops, with 'jeans' like zippers, that each partner gets to unzip, one at a time, whatever is in the envelop you with both enjoy.  There are a ton of fun titles like:

• Fox Hunt- For Him to Unzip
• How Far will you go- For Her to Unzip
• Lace Me down- For Her to Unzip
• Half time Love Snack- For Him to Unzip

She even gives some great advice in the beginning to both partners, especially to the men about the appropriate time to hand out the envelops. Gotta love it because each one is set to push your buttons just a little bit further, nothing too raunchy, and nothing too dark. Just a little light fun.

If your looking for a way to help spice up your sex life this is one of the books to get. It's fun, and you never quite know what's coming up next.
Example:

Wild Card: The presenter and the presentee will retire to the bedroom for some erotic channel surfing. You will grab his remote and push his buttons, until his batteries are completly drained

There are also two other books in the series worth checking out: 101 Nights of Grreat Romance, and 101 Nights of Grreat Sex.  They are well worth the price, especially now that Borders is closing you can probably stock up on them for pretty cheap!!

My take on the book:

Can I just say, that there aren't enough descriptive words in any language to describe how amazing, hot, romantic, steamy,, sexy, smoking hot, funny, lovable, intense, sweaty... oh wait what where we talking about??*wipes drool from mouth*. I bow to Lauren Dane, her writing is descriptive, captivating and enchanting, I was drawn into this book from the very first scene. The character development, the creating of a whole new world and 'verse' without making it boring or heavy handed in details is a fine skill ( don't believe me, have you ever tried to read War and Peace?? Too many Gods bless details that don't enhance the story, but I digress) 

Ash and Sera share a steamy Dom/sub past and the hurt that took place when duty took precedence over love, has left them both reeling. Sera was un-collared in the worst way possible and for a woman who had given everything to her Dom, it left her reeling; she became unhinged and went off a downward spiral   Sera, who fought hard to bring herself back from the brink after being cut loose in the worst way possible, has made herself into a phenomenal woman, she sought out the ritual, the rules and the structure that her life once had by joining the military, there the roles were clear and much like a perfect Dom, she was always given discipline when she needed it. She has moved up the ranks of the military, in a way which is unprecedented, and this brings her back into the life of Ash.

Ash tired of being the 'good son' and doing his duty, has decided that he is getting back the one thing that made his life whole, and centered him, he was going to fight like he hadn't before for the woman he loves.  Brandt, his best friend, fellow Dom, and ranked military family member, had fallen fast,and hard for Sera, and he isn't going to allow Ash to drive her away. Brandt becomes the bridge that helps Ash and Sera heal, and brings into the relationship something neither realized they were missing.  But can they last when their assignment brings up past issues?? And may expose a traitor among the families??

This booked packed in steamy smoking hot sex scenes, within the really great action scenes, allowing both sides to flow well, and keep the reader hooked. I enjoyed that the author allowed us to form an idea of what the characters looked like, and created instead a strong steady soul version instead of just a physical.  I really loved the BDSM scenes, and the really naughty 'taboo' fantasy Sera had that Ash helped her fulfill. 

It's a scorcher and well worth the time to get it.  Enjoy the fantasies

My take on the book:

I want this love story. I truly loved this story, especially the love that forms between Beth & Harry. Man oh man they jsut couldn't keep their hands off each other. I really love her because even though she is nervous & scarred as hell she still gets up the nerve to approach the man she has wanted for years.  

Beth & Harry get together & as they begin to build their relationship Harry let's his one obsession out the bag & Beth gets all hot & bothered by it. Beth has a stalker which only drives Harry crazy and makes him want to hang onto & protect her, as her relationship with Harry grows her stalker gets worse. 

This story is rauncy, fun, sweet & so good.  For a small book it packs quite a punch in the emotional department. I really love this one & all the twists & turns. This author can pen a good story. I love this book, I re-read it ALL the time!!!!

Book gets a 5/5 for story

This story is actually pretty good, it was one of the first i read from her, and I love it. Dante is struggling to hold onto his cool, until he learns that he is allowed to court Annemarie, and then all bets are off. Annemarie is so used to relying on herself that she doesn't take well to the concept of being helped out by Dante's pack. On the run from rogue weres and the government she has done her best to never form attachments.  When she realizes she could bring harm to the pack, she takes off for parts unknown. You already know I'm going to say I love her because she is one cool customer, she is actually telekinetic and this is what draws the wolves to her. She has stayed many steps ahead of the government, and that takes courage, and strong will. I enjoyed the story and the sex scenes were pretty hot.

Now this is a story and a half. Let's see it's got hot military men (check), werewolves (check), serious danger (check) and a slightly loony female character (ahh I guess check). I enjoyed this story as well. the female lead was ever so slightly on the ditsy side and well couldn't survive without the men, but then again she wouldn't be in any trouble without the men, so I guess it balances out. She sometimes annoyed me because she was so hung up on her age, but then again now I'm hitting that 'time' I'm beginning to understand, other than that she was a pretty good character. My one wish was that the male lead would share more with her instead of deciding what's good for everyone (then I snap back to reality, to be in the Military elite system you have to learn to keep your own counsel so yeah I get why he does it, doesn't mean I don't wish he would learn to share more though)


This book was different from Ms Montague's other Wolfen books in the fact that the men weren't born this way, and it's a pretty awesome journey to watch them learn to accept their gifts and even embrace them. The sex scenes are pretty freaking hot, and things move fast in this book, everything can be felt, I could almost smell the jungle air. This one is one of my favorites to re-read (pretty damn often if I am confessing everything). Definitely check this out on the page and get a sweet sneak peak before you purchase.

This is a really good book. The brothers having to learn to get along, Lacey's decision to leave them, puts them on the same side and made them fight to keep her there. Lacey is the kind of modern woman, she has made her decisions and nothing is going to stop her from meeting her goal. She's doing this to make a chance for her friends, and she slowly learns to let her mates in and accept their help. It's a long road to melding their lives together 


It's a journey and they work really hard at making their relationship work, and I love the situations that happen that force them to learn and grow. Definitely get this one. I loved Siren publishing, and the books they sell are pretty good..
