Blogiesta Ole' Dos: 2012

Well it's back, another faboulous round of Bloggiesta is here. Don't have a clue what it's about?? Well read on my loves:
As you’ve most likely already heard Bloggiesta is back for the Fall 2012 edition happening September 28th through the 30th! Today Suey from It’s All About Books.  Bloggiesta is co-hosted by myself Theresa from Thereasa Book and Suey from It’s All About Books. Originally created nearly four years ago by Natasha of Maw Books, we want to make sure to give her a huge thank you for starting such a fantastic event! An event that bloggers everywhere look forward to twice a year.Remember, the level of commitment during Bloggiesta is up to you. We’d love for you to find lots of time to devote to blogging with us during those three days, but if you have just one day that you can join us, or even just a few hours of one day, please do not hesitate to sign up.If you decide to participate in the Fall 2012 edition you can expect:
  • to spend time that weekend (as much or as little as your schedule allows) working on your blog
  • to create a to do list to share on your blog and link up with other participants
  • to hopefully participant in several mini challenges and learn something new
  • to connect with other participants through blog hopping or twitter
  • to make new blogging friends!
  • to come away at the end of the three days with a spiffed up blog!
A few of the topics we’ve already had interest in through our mini-challenge sign-ups (now closed):
  • Scheduling Posts and Organization
  • Increasing Blog Traffic
  • Using a Variety of Applications in Conjunction with your Blogging. (ie. Evernote, Microsoft Access, etc.)
  • WordPress vs. Blogger
  • Discussion Posts…How-to
  • And many many more.
If your interested in signing up click on either Suey's or Theresa's link above. I learned the hard way last year that too many things need to be done that can't be done, so I won't attempt to do them all. I will however do a few of the major ones. Well for my challenge these two days I will complete the following:

  • purchase blog domain
  • Update 7 old book reviews
  • Post 5 new reviews for Tues
  • Link all reviews to Book review page
  • Link all current reviews to Challenge pages
  • Update challenge page to resemble this one
  • set up 31 days of Samhain post Introduction
  • participate in mini challenges
  • backup blog
  • Get better "find me" link pictures
Bonus Round:
  • fix Blog guide button 09/29
  • update template on new domain 09/29
  • link completed tasks and reviews to Challenges that I'm participating in
  • fix pictures in picassa delete duplicates (how is it these things multiply??)
  • fix 6 old posts (editing mistakes, broken picture links)
  • Link up to Blogher & Blogaholic pages.
Well that's the list and the hopeful list, if I complete them I will cross them off and come back and add anything else I can think off.   What do you plan to do for your list?? Share in the comments and I will swing on by.

  1. I always start out with a long list and as I go around visiting everyone's blog, that list grows even more. But I'm ok with that b/c I keep my list in a notebook and as I have time after the event, I work on some things I didn't get to.

Hope you have a productive weekend!
