Clean Eating Meal:

With winter coming on, I like to create meals that are very good for cold chilly days. Soups, stews and chilis are the best for these days, when you wish to be surrounded by warmth, and feel good while doing it:

Turkey Clean Chili is really good and simple, using few ingredients but packing a clean eating punch, each spoonful is loaded with enough essential nutrients that you can actually eat it by itself. I personally never tried chili before clean eating because it never really sounded like something I would really want to try. Now I make this meal as often as possible.

Ingredients:
Ground Turkey 1 lb
Celery Ribs 2
onion 1 large
thyme 1 tsp
cayenne pepperr 1 tbsp
1 packed of Chili seasoning McCormick ( if not using then: 1 tsp allspice, 2 tsp chilli powder, cayenne pepper and black pepper)
ground flax seeds 1 tsp
garlic 1 clove
1 can tomato sauce or if you make your own 2 cups
1 cup kidney beans
carrots 2 large
escallions 2 (green onions)
2 tsp of whole wheat bread crumbs
2 tbsp of olive oil or soy oil

Directions:

Chop up all your veggies and set aside

In pan with heated oil:
add onion, garlic, escallion, and celery allow to cook until nice and soft about 5-10 mins
add meat and allow to brown. Once brown drain any extra fat off.

To this browned meat add cayennepepper, packaged chili, thyme, allow to cook together for about five minutes.

Then add in beans undrained, tomato sauce, and carrots and allow to cook until carrots cut easily. Once that is done top with flax and stir in well.

Serve with baked potato or with baked sweet potato and enjoy!!!!!
