Book Review

Romeo, Romeo, O wherefore art thou Romeo?
Romeo, Romeo by Robin Kaye

This is another book I received from the Kindle store when they had it for free (promotional pricing I guess).
Gorgeous millionaire bachelor Nick Romeo and high-powered corporate turnaround expert Rosalie Ronaldi know what they want from each other: no strings, no heartbreak. When Rosalie falls seriously ill, their casual intentions are tested, though secrets and their mutual business interests threaten to derail the budding romance. Nick, at times almost too perfect, demonstrates that his domestic skills extend far outside the bedroom, astonishing decidedly imperfect Rosalie, " (from amazon)
Apparently this is the author's first book, and boy did she knock it out of the park. You loved the lead characters and their wacky family from the beginning, and can totally understand where they are coming from.  As I am from NY, some of the landmarks, and the place they went really made me miss NY a little, especially the way everything was, it just made me remember being in NY and the way life moved there, there is a rhythm that is all NY.

Anywoo, even if you have never been to the Big Apple or even been into the BK, this story of romance, the building of a relationship, finding oneself actually seeking more than we thought we wanted, or even discovering that there more there than we initially expected, this story is amazing. I loved them building a relationship together, and how it became a real relationship even both of them weren't looking. The fear one feels when having to open oneself up to your partner and share what makes you vulnerable, and small.

The way Nick came thru for her and the way she learns to lean on him, was truly amazing to read, and imagine. This is what a good modern day romance is. It's not two perfect people meeting and getting together, it about two people meeting and learning what makes them perfect for each other, and learning to rub away the small imperfections and become a better person as you grow in the relationship. As with all relationships, this one has it's ups and downs, and a twist in the story that will make you want to race to the end just to see what happens,

Its a wonderful, raunchy, real & heart warming story centered around one of my favorite cities, so take the time to check it out, it's well worth the read. (I mean it garnered it's own post).

This is a definite 5 out of 5 and a must download and read soon.

Happy reading
