Good News All around

As they say in the Marines OORAH!!  This is a victory for those fighting for change!!

Im hoping that this will stand since Obama has made this one of him campaign promises which he was struggling to get changed because of the Republicans who are afraid of their own shadows (ok that was kinda mean but its true).  Yesterday on October 12, 2010 a judge, Virginia Philips,  turned over the ruling which allowed the don't ask don't tell policy to stay in place. For those of you who don't know this is a policy put in place by President Clinton( Le Boo Bill Le Boo) You can read the article here.

I have been a advocate for the repeal because as I stated on Monday I have friends and family members who are gay, and these policies which make them second class citizen are ridiculous. I have several friends who are in the US Military who risk their necks daily for the service and can be kicked out and lose everything (dishonorable discharge means no benefits and no pension package) all because of who they love. Its Not Fair, and Its NOT Right I'm glad there is a judge out there willing to stand up for what is right.!!! Yay

In support of the troops!! No matter their orientation (except if they are zoomies(air force), sorry military humor, Orrah Marines!!)

  1. I completely agree with you. With all the hate crimes going around, the more we can do to honor and support the LGBT community, the better off, we'll all be!

  2. @ Wendy we are living in difficult times for sure, and anything which makes life better for any "fringe" people (which makes you wonder what the qualifications are to be non-fringe, or "normal")as a community we should be happy and embrace it!!
